AMB upgrades its Web site

American Marine Bank (AMB), with offices throughout the West Sound and one in downtown Seattle, recently expanded and improved its Web site.

“Over the years we saw more of our customers using our ATMs and telephone banking services more and more” said Debbie Anderson, AMB’s vice president of marketing. “So we added online Internet banking in 1998. Every year since then, the number of customers using our Internet banking has grown dramatically.”

In addition to the regular features of letting customer check their balances and transfer funds, AMB’s new Web site now lets users find out and do a lot more than before. There’s information about personal banking, business banking, credit card services, trust and wealth management, and much more.

“A lot of our customers are constantly on the go, and our new Web site lets them do their banking when and where they want to,” added AMB’s Internet banking manager Katie Lamping. “They can be waiting in Seattle for a ferry, and check their account using their laptop and a wireless connection. The Web makes it possible” Lamping said. “And our new Web site gives them the information, the tools, the connection and a way to reach us so that they’re never out of touch.”

The site upgrade was designed and built by Bainbridge Island’s Daigle Design, and matches the ad campaign and printed materials the firm developed for the bank previously.
