Gary Bowlby, known for as long as anyone can remember as the Silverdale Printer and remembered for his ads showing him playing the saxophone, has sold his company to Printery Communications of Port Townsend.
The sale became effective on June l. Bowlby will remain with the firm, continuing to serve his local clients as a sales representative for Printery.
The Silverdale Printer is reputed to be Kitsap Countys oldest continually run family business. Printery Communications, recognized by its orange starfish logo, enjoys a national reputation as a technically and environmentally innovative company. It has been servicing Kitsap businesses for over 25 years and boasts the most complete printing facilities to service any size marketing account in this part of the country.
I cant tell you how excited I am to be able to continue to service our clients with an in-house single source of graphic and commercial printing solutions for their business, commented Bowlby.
Printery Communications was founded in Port Townsend by Mike Kenna in 1976. Kennas 30 year background includes experience in marketing, design, mailing, and commercial printing. The company has grown to over 25 employees and uses state-of-the-art equipment to provide effective graphic solutions for business. It currently serves clients in over 40 states.
All of us at the Printery are very enthusiastic about having Gary to help us to find single source graphic solutions for Kitsap businesses, said Kenna.
The firm has won many awards over the years and has created an environmentally innovative printing niche without using alternative methods costing more to reproduce. Its ecosystem includes up to six color inkjet wide format and Heidelberg offset printing as well as on demand full color digital printing, which is very good for short runs with budgets that are tight.
Bowlby explains, I actually have more time to assist with existing and new client needs as a representative of Printery. Some printing still will be done at the current location of Silverdale Printer. Otherwise files can be sent on the new DSL line for fast turn around.
