The Sidney Museum and Arts Association will present its 31st annual open art competition, The Helen Norris Open Art Show.

This year’s judge is Federal Way artist Ann Kullberg. Kullberg is an award winning portrait artist who’s use of colored pencils has helped to expand the rapidly rising popularity of this medium. She has been featured in numerous publications and her workshops are now nationally held. Her book, Colored Pencil Portraits, was published in March 1999.

All artwork on display is for sale during this show and there will be a public reception on Sun. May 6, 1- 4 p.m., including a critique by the judge of her first place choices, at 2 p.m. Over $700 in prizes will be awarded.
