West received her Associate of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology at Loma Linda University in 1976 and began working for AMI in January, 1977, as an x-ray and mammography technologist. After taking some time off in the 1980s to start her family, she returned to AMI and was named technical and personnel director in 1995. Since that time, she has been involved with all aspects of the business.
Dr. Cooks group will now be offering the countys first true Open MRI (it is C-shaped totally open on three sides) in the new imaging center in Silverdale. While the magnet at Harrison in Bremerton is the highest strength magnet in the county, AMI offers the referring doctors and patients a choice in which type of MRI system will best suit their needs. |
