Verksted features three in April

Featured at the Verksted Gallery in April will be a well known potter, a photographer, and a watercolor/calligraphy artist who is also the co-founder of both the Verksted Gallery and the Poulsbo Art League.

Mary Heffner often combines the art of Calligraphy with her watercolors to create wonderful framed pieces, often with a whimsical or humorous theme.

Heffner is well known in the art community, as she and a friend founded the Poulsbo Art League 18 years ago. The league now has over 40 members. She is also the founder of the Verksted Gallery. A talented artist, she is also has been a Hospice volunteer since 1984.

Leah Blair is a photographer who displays framed photos with a Northwest theme. Her note cards and photos of Poulsbo, the ferries, Seattle and the mountains are very popular with the thousands of visitors to Poulsbo, especially in the summer months.

Clarice Falconer is well known for her engaging work in porcelain. Her original designs in dishware, vases and sculpture incorporate anything from sea life to voluptuous women. Her popular cottages display stunning glazes — part of what makes her work unique.

The Verksted Gallery is open seven days a week from 10 to 5. Visitors are welcome to browse the shop, meet the artists on duty, and rest on the Velkommen bench.
