The Spring quarterly Arts Walk on Bainbridge Island is slated to provide a variety of visual arts centered around pastels and softly blended colors.
Visual artists from the region will show their work and be on hand May 6, from Noon to 5 p.m., in downtown Winslow.
Featured artists will include: Kim McElroy, Suzanne Burns, Kay Mork, Sharon Smith, Judith Jill Davis, Ray Styles, Ann Stockdale, Laura Mosley, Brian Berman, Darlene Morgensen, and Sage Burrows. Home Tour 2001 poster winner Gillian Bull will display her pastels at the Playhouse and a special exhibition of pastels and watercolors by four renowned artists will be shown at the Pavilion.
A nice selection of performing artists will complete the springtime atmosphere including a five-hour guitar jam at the Pavilion, which opens with Seattle award-winner Jonathan Kingham. Various regional guitarists will play short sets and share stories about their work, song writing, and experiences. Other performances include a local a cappella quartet wandering along Winslow Way, and a violin/cello duo performing in the Winslow Mall.
Visitors can also play the Arts Walk n Win game card for fun and prizes as they visit the stops along the Arts Walk. The event is free, and brochures can be picked up in downtown stores or by calling (206) 842-7901 after April 10.
