Kitsap Mall, Kitsap Bank and The Sun, the three main sponsors of the now defunct KitsaParty, have called upon public schools to help them raise money for education on Sunday, Oct. 14 at Kitsap Mall. Mall merchants will offer discounts and special incentives as well during the event.
As corporate citizens, we want to support educational opportunities, said Stacey Ames, marketing director at the mall. Our new event is a fun-filled, private sale, which will encompass the whole family. Childrens activities and entertainment are being planned.
The three corporations have invited schools to set up booths to display their school programs and activities. Ticket sales to the event will go towards educational programs and equipment.
Kitsap Mall, Kitsap Bank and The Sun formerly sponsored KitsaParty, an adult, black-tie affair, which was Kitsaps premier charity event, raising almost $1 million for private, nonprofits over a 16-year period. Recently, they jointly announced that due to prohibitive costs, the event would be discontinued. |
