The Dr. Maurice S. Mathis Guild, has announced plans for its annual spring luncheon according to Carol Burk, president.

“A Tiskit, A Tasket, A Luncheon in a Basket” will be held at Olympic Lodge at Naval Station Bremerton on Wednesday, May 9. The event will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the guild and the net proceeds will benefit women’s and children’s programs at Harrison Hospital.

The event is slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. and will run until 1:30 p.m. with entertainment provided by Meg Coyle and Mike King of Northwest Cable News. Bremerton native Coyle and her husband will share a behind the scenes look about their jobs. The luncheon will also feature a silent auction showcasing spectacular baskets and a raffle. Last year’s event raised over $8,000 to benefit Harrison Hospital.
