North Kitsap Eagles donate to Holly Ridge

North Kitsap Eagles Auxiliary 3586 recently presented a $2,000 check from the Jimmy Durante Children’s Fund to Holly Ridge Center. The funds will be directed towards the completion of the new children’s wing on the main campus in Bremerton.

Doreen Hinrichs, president, and Marcella Zuvela, vice president and grant chairman, presented the check to Roxanne Bryson, executive director of Holly Ridge Center, and Kathy Fortner, director of the Infant Toddler Program.

“The money came from a combined effort of fundraising,” Hinrichs said. “We had a blanket raffle, charged for dinners and collected change from the membership pot and a penny jar.”

Holly Ridge Center serves over 300 children with special needs. Satellite centers are located in Poulsbo and Port Orchard.
