The Radio Guy in Poulsbo recently announced that Tom McGinity and Jeremy Fitch, professional installation technicians, have become certified through the Mobile Electronics Certification Program (MECP). The certification is the barometer of competency in the car audio and 12-volt industry, and is part of an emerging nation-wide standard. The staff of The Radio Guy is now 100 percent MECP certified.

MECP certification lets consumers know the firm and individuals they are dealing with are recognized as having met certain requirements for the products and services they are selling and installing. Some manufacturers will extend product warranties when MECP professionals install their products.
