Photographer-artist Dinah Satterwhite will be featured in a solo show during the month of March at Pegasus Coffee House & Gallery on Bainbridge Island.

The artist’s reception is March 11, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, and will include a live hand coloring photo demonstration.

Satterwhite works with her original black and white photos, then hand colors them with special oil paints which result in luminous and almost “velvet-like” art. She often leaves a portion of the original in black in white, which creates a beautiful surrealistic image that is sure to capture your eye.

Her subject matter includes the Pacific Northwest, florals, landscapes, and scenes from abroad. Also included in this show will be Satterwhite’s image transfers and original emulsion transfers. A wide selection of framed prints and originals will be on display, along with gift-boxed and individual greeting cards.
