Julie Tappero, founder and president of West Sound Workforce, Inc. has been appointed as a member of the Olympic Workforce Development Council. Tappero’s appointment was made by Kitsap County Board of Commissioners and also confirmed by the county commissioners from Clallam and Jefferson counties.

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) establishes the council to set policy for the local workforce investment system in cooperation with local elected officials. The council oversees youth programs and the one-stop delivery system, while promoting the participation of private sector employers in the statewide workforce investment system.
