The Small Business Administration (SBA), has named Kitsap Bank as the fifth largest bank for SBA loans in 2000 and the second largest in Washington State. A preferred SBA lender, it was the only bank to show an increase in the number of SBA loans for the fifth consecutive year. The bank increased its lending dollars by 72 percent over 1999 totals.

As a preferred SBA lender, a designation held by less than 15 percent of the SBA lenders, Kitsap Bank is able to approve and process SBA loans much quicker than other lenders.
