Paladin Data Systems in Poulsbo has announced that four of its employees have successfully completed Cisco Network training and passed the rigorous Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) exam. Cisco is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. It solutions connect people, devices and networks, allowing people to access or transfer information without regard to differences in time, place or computer platform. Achieving Cisco certification ensures high standards of technical expertise and means joining the ranks of skilled network professionals who have earned recognition and respect in the industry.

Phil Borcherding, Fred Siegenthaler, Bob Clark and Ward Ralston all completed Paladin University’s five day class, “Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices.”

“We are all extremely proud of Ward, Fred, Bob, and Phil”, commented Peggy Roy, Paladin University’s Director of Education. “The Cisco certification process is very challenging but they did a terrific job. In fact, Ward Ralston, our lead Technical Trainer, will be teaching our next Cisco class in February.”

The CCNA certification indicates a foundation knowledge of networking for the small office environment. Certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), in a variety of protocols.

Borcherding, Clark and Siegenthaler will be providing Cisco consulting services for Paladin, in addition to their normal Microsoft Networking expertise.

Jay Morrow, Paladin’s VP for Operations said, “Adding Cisco certified professionals to the Paladin consulting staff is the next logical step for us as we move to expand the technical services we can offer to clients. We have Oracle, Microsoft, and Sun/Unix experts on staff. Cisco was a skill set we needed to be a true ‘full service’ technical provider.”
