The Home-Based Business Group (HBBG) of the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce has changed its name and focus.

The HBBG has mulled over the changes for the past two months, and given the growing diversity of businesses and types of ownership in the current HBBG, it was determined that the current name did not reflect who and what HBBG is as a group.

A committee consisting of Brian Slagle, Jennifer Green (the current board liaison), Barbara Schumacher, and S.K. Osborn arrived at what they feel is a more accurate reflection and emphasis for the HBBG.

The new name is the Business Orientation Group. It’s Mission Statement reads, “To help new businesses grow and prosper by promoting resources, networking, education and business development.”

Osborn says that through the new name and focus the group hopes to comprehensively embrace not only the single owner of a business or owners of a small business but all levels and sizes of business owners both new and seasoned to provide them with all the resources, speakers, networking, education, topics, etc. that will enable them to truly prosper in their endeavors.
