Kitsap United Way, which is in the midst of its annual fundraising campaign, announced that as of Nov. 21, just over $1 million had been received from Kitsap County businesses and residents. The goal for this year is $1.65 million. The $1 million mark is about 60 percent of that goal.

“We’re very pleased with how this year’s campaign is coming along,” states Barbara Stephenson, executive director of the charity. “But there’s still a lot more to be done. Our volunteers are still out raising money – money needed to help change the lives of people throughout Kitsap County.”
