Poulsbo’s Information Architects Inc. (IAI) recently sold the town of Pe Ell, located in Pacific County, its WaterWare software system. The software is a customer management, billing and accounting package designed specifically for managing utility customers.

The town also purchased hand-held meter readers and software to connect them to WaterWare. IAI installed the software and trained the district’s employees in its use.
WaterWare is Microsoft Windows based software written especially to manage utility customers by performing billing procedures and other accounting functions. It consists of several applications, including utility billing, cash receipts, voucher payments, general ledger fixed Assets, developer billing and meter reading.

Installation of the system may include on-site configuration data, conversion training, custom statements and reports, bar-coding and graphs and meter reader interfaces. Every contract includes ongoing support and maintenance as well.
