Poulsbos Verksted Gallery will be featuring the work of three separate artists, Al Anderson, Sue Baldwin and Karen Lyman, during the month of November.
Anderson creates traditional Norwegian Bentwood boxes, using a technique handed down from his grandfather. His hand-crafted tine (covered oval baskets of bend wood) and korge (round wooden baskets) in various sizes, with a multitude of uses, are both functional and decorative.
Baldwin designs original hand-crafted pottery with a special whimsical flair. Her unique designs include garden art, vases, candle holders, as well as holiday items like snowmen, Santas, and angels.
Lyman creates felt art and pen & ink sketches accented with color pencils. Shes known for her felt bears, and will feature unique and light-hearted holiday felt items including snowmen, penguins and angels.
The Verksted Gallery, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and late on holiday weekends also offers original arts and crafts from over 38 regional artists. The Gallery may be reached at (360) 697-4470 or www.verkstedgallery.com. |
