Employees of Kitsap County will have one more option this year for health care. KPS Health Plans will once again have the opportunity offer county workers a health insurance package.

KPS was formerly the health carrier for Kitsap County from 1993 until 1998. The return of the county as a KPS subscriber strengthens the rehabilitation process KPS has undergone since being put into receivership by the state Insurance Commissioner’s office late last year. The county joins the list of many other local companies returning to KPS since it has been restructured.
