Georgann Falotico, psychotherapist and certified counselor, will present “Making Friends with Our Oldest Allies, Our Bodies and Their Wisdom” at the Sept. 21 meeting of Silverdale Business and Professional Women.

The event will happen at the Olive Garden Restaurant in Silverdale. Social/networking time is 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the program meeting at 6.

According to Falotico, “We will look at the importance media places on one type of feminine body and equating that body with intelligence, popularity, acceptance and sex appeal at the expense of our true inner values and beauty. We will look at the way our society places value on doing, productivity, materialism and affluence at the expense of being, the soul and the environment. We will explore how we may access our body’s own wisdom to get back in touch with our creativity, healing and joy.”
