Districts 160, Lodge 282 of the International Association of Machinists (IAM) will represent 82 members of a logistics unit located at the Naval Undersea Underwater Engineering Station at Keyport, Naval Subase Bangor and in North Kitsap. The representation is the result of a vote held on August 17.

The workers are employed by the BAE Systems unit of Applied Technologies. IAM business representative Mike Goddard is currently assisting the group with its first contract negotiations. The IAM represents approximately 4,500 workers employed by the Department of the Army and the Department of the Navy in this area.
