Paladin University, a division of Paladin Data Systems Corporation, has been approved for affiliation with the renowned benchmark Industry Training Credit Approval Process (ITCAP) Program. Its the first and most acclaimed nationwide program through which students enrolled in commercial workforce and professional training courses can obtain college credit for their coursework.
As an Authorized ITCAP Center, Paladin will bring crucial financial and career benefits to a major segment of employers, employees, and independent students throughout the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas, said Peggy Roy, Director of Paladin University.
It was Paladins goal to find a solution for area businesses needing to maintain a highly skilled workforce to keep up with the growing complexities and demands of new technologies and new business paradigms.
To remain competitive with the rest of the country, it is imperative for Kitsap and Olympic Peninsula businesses to develop and maintain knowledgeable, highly-competent workforce talent, said Roy. Thats best done by going straight to the commercial sector where business and technology innovations originate, and making sure employees get vendor-authorized training from certified training professionals. Paladin University course offerings that qualify for college credit under ITCAP include Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, and A+ certification classes.
Through the ITCAP Program, students at Paladin University can earn college credit for successful completion of vendor-authorized training programs many of which lead to industry certification and the respective ITCAP challenge exams. Pima Community College, the nations fourth largest multi-campus community college, confers the college credits.
Best of all, ITCAP empowers Kitsap companies to grow their own highly-trained talent pools and to gain a competitive advantage not just locally, but nationwide and globally as well, Roy added.
