Charter expands digital service

Charter Communications, one of Paul Allen’s Wired World companies, has expanded its range of digital cable offerings to its Silverdale customers. According to company spokesman Jerry Rotondo, the service gives customers superior picture and sound quality, more than 185 channels of programming including 74 movie screens, as well as commercial-free music channels.

“There are more than 45 channels of commercial-free music and on-screen digital programming,” said Rotondo.

The company is offering three different basic pricing plans along with an interactive guide that even reminds subscribers when a particular show is on and what will be on for the next seven days. Parental control features are included in the digital receiver which also allows pay-per-view events to be ordered directly over the system. For more information, visit www.chartercom.com.
