Jones named new director at Retsil

Robert Jones has been named superintendent of the Washington Veterans Home in Retsil effective July 1, according to John M. King, director of the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA). King announced the appointment following confirmation by Governor Gary Locke.

“Finding well-qualified individuals who possess the critical knowledge, skills, abilities and experience needed to be successful, is an enormous challenge in filling positions at this level,” said King. “Bob Jones has already shown he is one of those individuals.”

Jones, a retiree of the US Navy, has been serving as the assistant superintendent at the Washington Veterans Home for the past three years. He spent many of his 40 years of military service in the health care field and brings experience in long term care, both in the public and private sector, to the institution.
