The Poulsbo City Council, at the invitation of the county Commissioners, has agreed to pursue a joint review and adoption process for the Poulsbo Sub Area Plan. The Plan will be adopted in its entirety by both jurisdictions, with city and county staff meeting to discuss the extent of changes. Both have agreed to revise the plan to make it consistent with the Poulsbo Comprehensive Plan.

After the joint revisions are complete, staff will schedule a series of joint workshops with the city and the county Planning Commissions prior to setting a public hearing date.

Once the Planning Commissions have held their public hearings, staff will schedule joint hearing between the City Council and county commissioners.

Barring any problems, it’s expected the final version of the plan will be adopted sometime in December.
