It may have been an extremely slow race because of a north wind, but there were no disasters and although no one won the million dollars, there were winners.

The Grand prize of a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 ExtraCab pickup, donated by Heartland Toyota, went to Al Cook of Bremerton, whose duck was the first to cross the finish line.

The second prize, a cruise on Holland America was won by Colleen Sexton and a diamond ring from Ben Bridge Jewelers went to duck owner Karen Nelson. Penny Guimond won a Kitsap Golfing Adventure from Scott Alexander’s Discount Golf Shop and Debbie Slaton is the proud owner of a Rhinolining truck bed liner.

Other prizes included and estate planning package from attorney Kevin Moran, won by Mark Forbes; 150 gallons of heating oil or propane from Bowman Oil, won by Kris O’Brien; a full-size portable basketball hoop, donated by Bremerton Bottling went to Jed Brown; dinner for 2 and a night at the Silverdale Hotel was awarded to Carl Willis-Ford; a $250 certificate at the Bon Marche went home with Margaret Logue; $250 in sport trading cards, donated by Harry Guay was won by Andrew Carol; a beer, wine or soda making experience, from Heads-Up Brewing went to Camty Tran; a 30 minute helicopter ride from Peninsula Helicopter was won by Farrington Kaluna; a night for 2 with Breakfast at the Silverdale Hotel, donated by Lile International Companies was awarded to Valerie Endicott; a hand-knitted Aran sweater, from Margaret Milnes went to Wendy Davis; a Farmer Joe barbecue for 15, donated by the Poulsbo Central Market was won by Austin Real Estate Inc. and a Dine around Town Package from several local restaurants went to Stephen Harvey.
