The Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County is actively recruiting an executive director to replace Dorothea Lintz who is retiring after serving in the position since 1992.
The DRCs mission is to provide Kitsap County residents with options for resolving conflicts out of court, voluntarily and non-violently. This includes programs for mediation of all civil disputes such as landlord/tenant, employment, neighborhood, child custody and visitation, and divorce, as well as victim/offender mediation for juveniles; parent-teen mediation; support of peer mediation in the schools; and an ombudsman for public mental health consumers.
The director, who reports to the board, plans for and administers the programs of the DRC in such a manner that optimum results are achieved in relation to resources. The job has a starting salary range of $2,640 to $2,877 per month, which is negotiable depending on the experience of the finalists. Application deadline is Aug. 31, at 4:30 p.m.
