Laura King, a candidate for one of the open seats on the Kitsap County Superior Court bench, was recently appointed by the Washington State Bar Association to its Law Examiners Committee. Members of the committee write and grade bar exam questions.

King currently serves as administrative law judge with the Office of Administrative Hearings. She previously served as tax referee for the Washington State Board of Tax Appeals, adjudicating excise and property tax issues and appeals. She is also a member of the Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union board of directors and the Kitsap County Planning Commission.
