Boxlight showcases new projector
Portable, full-featured unit performs in fully-lit
conference rooms and on-the-road

Poulsbo’s Boxlight Corp. recently debuted its new MP-86i projector, which according to the company is the brightest, most full-featured SVGA projector available in the 13 lb. and under category.

The new MP-86i multimedia, polysilicon projector weighs only 13 pounds yet boasts a powerful 1700 ANSI lumens of brightness, making it unnecessary to pull the shades or dim the lights when it’s being used.

Outstanding image clarity is assured with true 800 x 600 (SVGA) resolution and excellent 1024 x 768 (XGA) compression, eliminating the need to adjust the computer’s resolution to match the projector’s.

In addition to its standard features, the MP-86i helps speakers add an extra dimension to presentations with an innovative Picture in Picture feature that allows it to display computer and video images at the same time. For example, during a PowerPoint™ presentation a presenter can simultaneously show a video clip on a small on-screen window without disturbing the main presentation on the big screen. This eliminates the need to embed video clips in the PowerPoint slide. Peripheral devices such as a VCR or DVD player, as well as two computers, can be connected to the MP-86i to set the stage for a true multimedia event.

A remote control allows the speaker to roam the stage or interact with the audience and it can activate the digital zoom imaging or the built-in laser pointer to spotlight and digitally enhance an area of the screen from anywhere in the room. The unit’s power zoom/focus can be used to get just the right-sized image to fill up the screen and the digital keystone adjustment squares-up an image at the touch of a button.
