Red Cross partners with Family Bundles

Family Bundles, a locally owned, family-friendly shopping guide, and the West Sound Chapter of the American Red Cross, have partnered with 25,000 students in Bremerton, Central Kitsap and North Kitsap through their local PTAs for a major Fund Raising event.

According to Kim Vogler, President of Family Bundles, the Fall issue will be available in October and students will be distributing copies to the community, encouraging people to shop with the businesses advertising in the guide. Shoppers get bonus points from the merchants which will redeemed for cash rebates, paid from Family Bundle’s profits directly to the Red Cross and the participating PTAs.

“Family Bundles pays consumers for being loyal to the businesses in our program, out of our profits,” said Vogler. “Unlike most fund raisers, our program does not require the people involved to spend on unwanted items, such as candy, gift wrap, etc. It is also much safer than other programs since the students do not have to go “door to door.”

If the Red Cross reaches its goal of returning 15,000 Bonus Books to Family Bundles by the end of the year, $450,000 will be shared between the Red Cross and the participating PTAs. This will represent $15,000,000 in retail sales by the businesses advertising in the guide.
