Leadership Kitsap announces grants, new class

The Leadership Kitsap Foundation recently welcomed its Class of 2001 and announced it had received grant support for the class from both inside and outside of Kitsap County.

Silverdale Rotary is sponsoring the November Challenge Day titled Community Development. Hosted by the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Department, the day will focus on development issues across the county.

Bremerton Rotary is sponsoring the Class of 2001 community action projects, which identify a need in the community, collaborate with community sponsors, and create change.

The Wal-Mart Foundation is the sponsor of the Class of 2001 Graduation celebration and the Kitsap Community Foundation is sponsoring two student scholarships. Student funds and employer contribution will match each scholarship amount.

The Ben B. Cheney Foundation in Tacoma has funded a technology upgrade that enables the Leadership Kitsap program to refurnish an office with equipment to make running the program more effective and efficient.
