Two of Bremerton’s Chico Towing drivers, Tom Huebsch and Todd Beesmer, received their Level 2, Master Tower Certificates of Achievement from the National Driver Certification program of the Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA). The organization is a towing industry trade association which is dedicated to training professional tow truck drivers so they are responsive, knowledgeable, solution-oriented and prepared to deal effectively with all types of people in all types of situations.

The pair passed a rigorous written examination covering the areas of customer service, safety, incident management, trucks and equipment. The Level 2 certification demonstrates their knowledge of specific tasks required of medium and heavy tow truck operators.

Four more of the company’s drivers, Paul Flanigan, Larry King, Mike Brady and Lynn Bassett, all earned Level 1 certifications. They too, were required to pass a difficult written examination covering the five key areas the TRAA considers mandatory in which professional tow truck drivers be skilled — customer service, operation safety, incident management, tow truck operation and equipment and tool operation.
