for April 1 at Kitsap Pavilion

   “It’s all about the kids,” says Pastor Clinton Bush with the zeal of an evangelist and the confidence of a successful salesman. He’s talking about the financial literacy program he runs on Saturday’s for 30 kids from 7 to 17.
   The program, part of his Institute for Financial Literacy and Economic Development, teaches them the basics of how money works at an early age. “We have 10-year olds that can read a financial statement and a balance sheet, and know what they mean,” he says proudly.
   Bush is also the moving force behind the upcoming 2005 Economic Empowerment Conference & Expo to be held at the Kitsap Pavilion on April 1. The event, which is being sponsored by the Business Journal and a coalition of local groups and businesses, will feature Mark Victor Hansen, author of the Chicken Soup series of books, as the keynoter. Also featured are well-known speakers, Blair Singer, who works with author Robert Kiyosaki of Rich Dad Poor Dad fame, as well as Orrin Hudson, author of author of best selling book Think, Act and Be Someone. Hoke addresses marketeers in Alaska

New networking group meeting in Poulsbo
