Emergency food drive a big success
   Upon learning of the theft at the Central Kitsap Food Bank in December, the doctors at The Chiropractors Clinic in Silverdale conducted an emergency food drive which was a huge Success.
   Over $1000 in monetary donations were received and over 500 pounds of food collected.
Dr. Karen Busso extended a special “Thank You” to the clinic’s generous patients, Girl Scout Troop #1362, Jackson Park Community Council and local residents who stepped forward to help.

Port Orchard Soroptimists set auction date
   The Soroptimist club of Port Orchard has set the date for its sixth annual “Fantasy In February” Dinner and Auction. The event is slated for Saturday, Feb. 23.
   The proceeds will go to the Soroptimist Foundation to fund vocational programs and scholarships for women. Last year’s event contributed $14,000 to the Foundation.

ABC’s to Attainable Wealth class set
   Bremerton Edward Jones Investment Representative Jeff Thomsen will host a set of 4-week financial workshops for individual investors aimed at setting financial and investment goals.
   The first runs Feb. 6 to 27 with classes on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The second goes Feb. 7 to 28 with classes on Thursdays from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Both will be held at 5971 State Highway 303 North in East Bremerton.

Gilbo promoted at Whiskey Creek Steakhouse
   Keyport’s Whiskey Creek Steakhouse recently promoted Lisa Gilbo to evening Kitchen director. Gilbo joined the popular eatery in October of last year after a stint with at JJ’s Fishhouse in Poulsbo and Port Orchard.
   She will continue to oversee quality production at Whiskey Creek as well as implement many of her own specials. Her intent is to add more Fresh Seafood entrees and new sauces to the existing menu.

Brothers named top Yamaha dealer
   The Brothers Powersports was recently notified that it was the number one Yamaha Dealer for gross units sold from September 2001 thru December. The Bremerton firm, which has been in operation in Kitsap county since 1949, is a full service Honda, Yamaha, Sea Doo (Bombardier), Ducati dealer. We have.

Crocetti featured at Sidney Gallery
   The Sidney Art Gallery will exhibit the work of Tacoma artist Sharon Crocetti Feb. 6 through 28. This show deals with a variety of mediums and subject matter with an emphasis on the human face and form.
