Meeting to rally shoreline owners against NMFS, DOE
Commissioners insist theyre doing everything
possible to defend private property rights

A newly formed group, the Kitsap Waterfront and Streamside Owners Association, is inviting all waterfront property owners and other interested people to a rally to inform them just what their rights are in relation to the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the recently proposed rules by the state Dept. of Ecology (DOE).
The program, to be held on Oct. 21 at the Presidents Hall at Kitsap Pavilion, will start at 10 a.m. and feature several speakers, including Dr. James Buchal, author of The Great Salmon Hoax, 35th District Senator Tim Shelton (D-Potlatch), and talk show host Tim Harrington of the Rolling Thunder Radio Network. New salon opens in Poulsbo |
Liberty Bay Salon is a new beauty salon, overlooking Liberty Bay in Poulsbo. The salon is located in the sunroom of owner Sharon Andersons home on Viking Way.
According to Anderson, a licensed cosmetologist and a licensed counselor, the shop is very private and relaxing, and appointments must be made in advance. Services are limited to perms, cuts, styles, spa manicures and spa pedicures.
She says prices are very comparable to most beauty salons, and an introductory special which offers perms for only $38 is running until Nov. 1.
