Storment new health administrator |
Messenger House Care Center of Bainbridge Island recently named John H. Storment to the health-care team as administrator.
Storment is a retired U.S. Navy lieutenant commander and has more than 15 years of long-term care administration. He attended Olympic College and is a graduate of the Naval School of Health Care Administration at George Washington University. |

Windermere donates to local organizations |
| The sales associates and staff at Windermere Real Estates Kitsap County offices recently partnered with the Windermere Foundation and donated $11,000 to three local non-profit community organizations. The YWCA of Kitsap County and St. Vincent de Paul each received donations of $3,000 and a $5,000 donation was made to Kitsap Community Resources. |

Jeanettes Old Town Flowers, which was previously known as Jeanettes Floral Designs, has moved to a new location in the Ocean Park Building at 3343 Byron St. in Old Town Silverdale.
Owner Jeanette Taylor and her husband Paul, remodeled the space earlier this year when they made the decision to leave their longtime location at Kitsap Place.

Poulsbo adopts home business license ordinance |
The Poulsbo City Council has adopted an ordinance aimed at the new trend of home businesses especially those that utilize the internet and/or telecommunications as a main method of commerce.
Classified as incidental home business, businesses that have an insignificant impact on the city in terms of traffic and necessary services are now exempt from acquiring a city business license if the business does not need a home occupation permit. |
