Theft of confidential company info booming |
Employers risk of having confidential company information and trade secrets exposed have increased because of the ease of obtaining and disseminating information over the Internet. This Is compounded by the increase In mobility of the workforce.
Typically, the non-compete agreement is a tool that helps curb the loss of trade secrets, salary data, market strategies and customer lists, but such agreements have limitations.
Employers should consider adopting strict confidentiality policies, as well as requiring nondisclosure and non-solicitation agreements. |
