Relay for Life a big success in North Mason

Some 90 cancer-survivors were registered, many of whom participated in the first lap of the evening, and the last lap the following afternoon. Over $48,000 had been brought in for the American Cancer Society.

The team raising the most money was Barb’s Babes, bringing in $7,714. The Mighty Methodists collected the most online, and the new team with the highest income was the Lively Ladies of the Lake Red Hat Society.

Cancer survivors in their purple t-shirts were honored guests, with, “I’m Living Proof” printed on the back of their shirts for all to see – right below their title, “Survivor.”
