Gig Harbor chef attends national symposium

Big league chefs were in abundance when the Personal Chefs Network held its national Personal Chefs Network Symposium in Folly Beach, South Carolina, on Oct. 15-18. Internationally acclaimed chefs Anne Willan and Denise Vivaldo were among the guest instructors, and Michael Ruhlman was the keynote speaker.

Personal chef Sara Myron from Gig Harbor, was among the attendees. “If Denise Vivaldo is going to be there, then I am going to be there,” she said. Vivaldo taught a six-hour intensive class on food styling to about 20 chefs.

Myron has been providing custom prepared meals, cooking classes and specialty events in the Gig Harbor and Tacoma area for more than four years. Being a member of the Personal Chefs Network has proven to be very beneficial in sharing ideas, recipes and promoting the fast-growing personal chef industry.
