Peninsula Services will hold its annual art auction fundraiser on March 12, at its Gift Garden store, 327 Pacific Avenue in Bremerton. The public is invited and admission to the event is free. Refreshments will be served. Silent auction will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Sid Strassburg, well-known auctioneer; will hold the live auction starting at 6 p.m.

This year’s art auction is a tribute to Jennie Lund who passed away late in 2009. Lund served as president of the Peninsula Services’ board for nine years. She had a long career in education and was a champion of rights for individuals with disabilities. All proceeds go to support Peninsula Services’ programs for individuals with disabilities. Peninsula Services’ mission is to provide employment opportunities and work training to adults with disabilities.
