Bicycle Advocacy Workshop
Cascade Bicycle Club and Silverdale Cyclery Host Bicycle Advocacy Workshop For Kitsap County Cyclists

On Saturday, January 9, 2010 Cascade Bicycle Club will host a bicycle advocacy workshop at the Silverdale Cyclery. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with fellow cyclists and learn how they can work together to improve Kitsap County and all of Washington for cyclists.

  • 9:30 a.m. - Coffee and conversation at Silverdale Cyclery
  • 10 a.m. - Workshop at Silverdale Cyclery
  • 1:30 p.m. - Lunch and reception at Silver City Restaurant and Brewery

Topics covered will include: passage of a statewide Vulnerable User law in 2010; Safe Routes to School programs that increase physical activity and reduce obesity among children; statewide partnerships to bring funding and policy changes for safe bicycling; bicycling and the legal system; and an introduction to planning and designing bicycle-friendly communities.
