WSTPA to present Ready Launch —
SQL2005: The Next Generation
   The Westsound Technology Professionals Association (WSTPA) will present, “SQL 2005: The Next Generation,” at its regularly scheduled meeting to be held Feb. 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Poulsbo Branch of the Kitsap Regional Library, located at 700 NE Lincoln St.

The event, which is free to WSTPA members and $5 for non-members, SQL 2005 can help deliver mission-critical, process-driven applications, as well as develop and deploy them more efficiently, and keep them in production at predictable performance levels.
WSTPA's newest board member, Bill Huckabee, who is currently an asset manager with Envisioneering, will present a brief overview, discuss system requirements, and types and editions of this tool. He will also explore coexistence issues with previous versions, and review how the tool integrates with other software. He will also discuss the built-in security features, scalability and how SQL 2005 can help grow with your business, as well as the new Microsoft certifications for SQL Server 2005. Evaluation editions will also be available.

Huckabee is a retired 21 Year Navy Submarine Veteran who has been in the computer/IT industry for over 30 years. He graduated from Georgia Military College with a Certificate of Data Processing and an Associates of Science, Business Administration. He is pursuing his Associate in Technical Arts, Computer Information Systems at Olympic College. A member WSTPA since early 2002, Huckabee also serves on Olympic College’s Computer Information Systems Advisory Committee, which provides feedback to the college on the types of courses and curriculum they should be teaching.
