New local Web site helps find
family-friendly activities

Kitsap resident Meredith Arseneau has found a unique business that caters to local families: an online portal that includes family-friendly activities available around the area. KitsapKids.com is a new resource that helps families plan activities with their children.

According to Arseneau, “The convenience of having local information in one location makes life as a parent much easier.” She says that KitsapKids.com makes finding kid-friendly businesses and specials quick and easy. “You don’t have to track down every event or business individually. It’s already done for you,” she said.

Each individual category has its own unique page with resource information. Categories include calendar of events, businesses in Kitsap County that are kid friendly, birthday party locations, shopping, clothing and toy swaps, recalled products, fun crafts to do with your children, outdoor activities, school districts, playgroups, and much more.

The site is supported in part by paid advertisements. As the number of users increases, Arseneau believes family-oriented businesses will have a new way of targeting prime prospects. She says that the Website markets to families, teachers, and caregivers who enjoy creating memorable experiences within the local communities.

Arseneau, a parent who works in Kitsap, is a charter member of the Kingston North Kitsap Rotary and a member of the Bremerton Area Chamber of Commerce.
