Jim Kendall, president of NW Commnet, recently announced the completion of the Kitsap County Consolidated Housing Authority’s (KCCHA) fiber-optic circuit between Silverdale and Bremerton as of Dec. 3.

The project entailed a major effort installing the fiber-optic cable and associated hardware and software, as well as testing it and establishing the circuit. The project is particularly significant because it is the first “end to end” fiber-optic circuit that has been built in the county between urban areas utilizing NW Commnet Fiber to complete the circuit at both ends.

The job was a joint venture between Convergence Technologies and Telebyte Northwest.
