Sprint strengthens customer
Internet security defenses

Sprint has announced two new Internet protection and mitigation additions to its security services portfolio for companies with a high dependency on the Internet.

Threats to business – denial of service, malicious code, email-borne viruses and unauthorized access – which impact productivity, data integrity, service availability and even revenue are commonplace. Government and finance, manufacturing and healthcare businesses face security-driven regulations in addition to business-continuity requirements against viruses and denial of service attacks. Compliance means enterprises must deploy extensive security technologies to reduce the overall risk to not only the enterprise perimeter and Internet connections, but also extranet partners, remote offices and telecommuters.

Sprint claims its IP Defender service and Secure Content Management and Filtering service address that demand and can be customized to meet specific network protection and connectivity requirements. More information is available at: www.sprint.com/business/products/products/ipDefender.jsp.
