Washington CASH selected
for HP technology grant

It was recently announced that Washington Community Alliance for Self-Help (CASH) has officially been selected to receive the HP Microenterprise Development grant valued at up to $250,000 for equipment, cash, services and technical support.

The Seattle-based nonprofit, which operates in Kitsap County, was one of 17 agencies selected nationwide to receive the technology grant to help increase productivity, efficiency and effectiveness. In addition, the HP grant aims to enable the selected nonprofit agencies to provide technology access to their clients.

Launched in November 2002, the grant initiative strives to support nonprofit microenterprise development agencies that serve clients in diverse, low-income communities in the United States. Beyond the actual donation of technology and support, the real goal of this grant and HP’s collaboration with organizations like CASH is to realize sustainable solutions and economic growth for low-income communities.
