Bainbridge Island-based Mercury Online Solutions, Inc., a provider of digital signage networks, including interactive kiosks and dynamic signage, recently announced that John Kirkpatrick, and Ian Forbes have joined the firm.

Kirkpatrick is the co-founder and former president of FRED (Foto Realistic Electronic Delivery) Systems, Ltd.). Forbes, is co-founder and former vice president of marketing and international sales.

FRED Systems was the developer of the first digital signage network processor software and provided its Digital Signage Networks products and services worldwide. The company merged with Mercury Online Solutions in June of this year.

Kirkpatrick assumes the role of director of channel partners for Mercury Online Solutions and is responsible for maintaining the distribution of the FRED product line. Forbes joins the company as channel partner sales, and is charged with expanding Mercury’s worldwide sales network for the growing line of FRED branded digital signage network software and processors.
