Telebyte NW clients can now surf the internet up to five times faster with the firm’s new service called Accelerated Web Access. Using plain old telephone service (POTS) and your plain old modem, the company says it can deliver access to your favorite websites up to five times faster.

According to the company, its customers using the new service can surf at speeds that seem to rival those of broadband, without paying the higher costs associated with DSL, cable and satellite access.

Pricing for the new service is only an additional $3 per month, but is for dialup modem users only, not for ISDN, DSL, wireless, or any other broadband service the firm provides. It also requires the installation of some new software, which is available at no charge on the company’s web site.
