June panel: Web Services — What is the local impact?

Do you really understand what web services are and why they are important to business people and developers? How have they impacted your business? Who’s actually using them and why?

Four noted technology experts will discuss these and more at the West Sound Technology Professionals Association (WSTPA)-sponsored panel discussion on Thursday, June 19 at 5:30 p.m. in Poulsbo Regional Library’s Community Room.

New Board Members

The WSTAPA board recently appointed Catherine McGavin as a new at-large member and chair of its Program and Events Committee and named Michael Besselievre as treasurer.

McGavin, now with eBid Systems, was previously director of sales and marketing for Northwest Network Services on Bainbridge Island. She has also worked for Noosh.com, PrimeSource/Ennovation, Kodak and Agfa, and is a leader in forging industry change via technology-driven solutions. She also sits on the Olympic College Business Management Advisory Board.
