WSTPA joins statewide tech coalition

The West Sound Technology Professionals Association (WSTPA) has been named as the eighth member of the Technology Alliance Associates program.

The Technology Alliance (TA) has established formal relationships with several regional technology and economic development organizations in the state. These partners have joined the TA in an effort to build support for research, education, and entrepreneurship as the key drivers of a thriving economy.

The “handshake” which made this designation possible was the very successful “Western Washington Summit: Fostering Innovation with Technology and Economic Development Entrepreneurship”, hosted by WSTPA on Nov. 21, 2002.

“We’re excited to have WSTPA as a Technology Alliance Associate,” said Ken Myer, president of the Technology Alliance and principal at Atlantis Investment Group. “They bring a vibrant and growing region into our coalition of eight regional technology-based organizations from across Washington.”

As the eighth member of the prestigious TA Associates, WSTPA will join the Greater Wenatchee Area Technology Alliance, INTEC, the Seattle Chapter of the Society for Information Management, the Spokane Intercollegiate Research and Technology Institute, the Tacoma Technology Consortium, and the Three Rivers Technology Alliance.

Coordinated by the TA, all these independent technology-focused organizations are now actively collaborating to identify and implement cooperative strategies for statewide achievements.
